Worrell 1 Mk 2

| LOA ........................ 20' Beam ....................... 8' - 10'* Weight ..................... 300# ** SA (main and jib) ..... 250 square feet (optional second headsail and 400 sq ft. asymmetrical spinnaker) Crew ....................... 2 on trapeze |
| * The Worrel I Mk 1 was built to a
specific rule which limited beam to 8'. If neither
trailerablity (assembled) or class rule restriction is
not an objective for you, the beam can be increased up to
10' for added stability and power. ** The weight of any given boat will depend on the materials and the builder, but this is the desired average to be aimed for. |

The boat is constructed of 4mm plywood and epoxy, using the tortured (or stressed) ply method. Engineered to offer both great strength and light weight, this is a sophisticated speed machine which can be built without a NASA laboratory and a degree in chemistry. Her round hulls belie her sheet plywood construction. |
| Above: A Worrell screams along in the Atlantic at about 20 knots under full sail. Notice that she leaves her wake over 4 boat lengths behind. | |
