A new design is being build tested at this time: LAPWING (a wading bird)

A daysailer that combines classic panache with attitude.   The traditional lapstrake look of  her hull, belies Lapwing's thoroughly modern performance. 

The construction uses glued (epoxied) plywood strakes built over a jig.  Unlike traditional lapstrake construction, there are no frames, so the interior of the hull  is clean.   She has 8 strakes per side, giving her a nice round-bilged hull form. 

After the build-testing is completed, it is our intention to offer Lapwing as a plan, with full size jig AND strake patterns. We also expect to be able to offer the boat in kit form, either a jig only kit or as a jig and strake kit.
