B&B sets the benchmark in boat kits……..

 The Core Sound 17 is our first kit offering.  In producing this kit we were determined to make it better and easier and more complete than any other boat kit on the market.  We believe that when you look you will not find another kit like this one.   The kit faithfully produces a Core Sound 17 boat, not a simplified or modified version. 

 Our kits are manufactured to extremely tight tolerances:

Instead of plain cut plywood panels, your kit will come with various joining methods which will make it much easier and much faster to assemble. 

 The plywood for the hull panels and longitudinal bulkheads are joined using machined step scarfs which will automatically align themselves.  Wire holes are pre-drilled for you. 

 Bullkheads, both transverse and longitudinal, are tenoned into position. Stringer positions are drawn in and bulkheads are cut to accommodate the stringers.

 We offer several standard items in our kit that are not even offered as options elsewhere; among them:  Aft bulkhead hatch cut our with ring and cover, cockpit self draining hatches, rudder pieces, even the boom crutches for carrying your masts while on  a trailer. 

 

 

How much does the B&B CS17 kit cost?

 The full kit as shown in the drawing above is $1950.00. plus shipping. Plan and CD of pictures is included. All of the plywood parts are included, the solid stock is purchased locally by the builder.

 How long does it take to get my kit? 

 Kits require approximately a two week lead time to shipping. 

They are packaged in a sturdy plywood box – which is screwed together and which will provide you with more materials for your building project – as a table or use pieces of the pine for your boat project.

 How do the kits arrive?

 The kits are shipped by truck.  Transit times are between 3-6 days depending on where you are located in continental USA.

You will need to make arrangement to be able to receive a box that weighs 250#.

 You can order the plywood kit only or we can also supply your epoxy building requirements.  Additionally, we support our designs with custom sails and hardware at prices that rival or beat even the large national marine chains.
